Ive a got pretty much rot free 3 door. But on the drivers side strut mount is starting to get eaten by the dreaded rot worm. Its gone to far to rub down and treat so its one of two options

Plate it, but wont look very pretty but will do its job

Or

Find an innerwing and replace the whole thing. Will a saph fit or a standard 3 door base model

Or could i cut a section out along with the strut and weld it compltely out?

Any help appricated cheers lads and ladies

 

Do you mean round the base of the strut tower?

A decent welder should be able to sort that for you matey. Friend got his Sapphire welded there and it looks spot on. I wouldn't go to the extreme of putting new inner wings in it unless its really really bad!

 

Was hoping it could be sorted. Its not holes just flaking but would rather get it sorted then leave it and get worse.

Just wasnt to keen on a plate as my last saph had one and looked terrible lol. Looks like im phoning my mates who can weld then lol
