Thumbs up What size tyres on 16's??

Right fella's i have a set of 16 inch tsw imolas on my s2 and they are 7.5j and running on 215/40, are these too big? am thinking 205/40 or 195/45?? what do you guy's think??? any help appreciated.

205's would be good but 215's arnt a problem as long as they clear and dont rub

i have tsw evo-rs on mine 16 inch and have 225 45's on mine and seem fine

^ 225's?? Bloody Hell mate that's the same width I run on my A4. A very wide tyre for the car.

What rim width is that on? I'm on 205/40/17 and that scrubs a bit

i am sure they are 7.5j they just clear but my arches where scrubbed to death when i had my rs 7 spokes on lol. they are wide tyers. they came with them when i got them so they are fine so stuck with them lol.

Rick, did yours used to rub??? as i am having rubbing problems especially on full lock??

I was on 215-40-16 but i used to rub on the rear 4up.... So gone for 195-45s now, not 100% happy tho as the tyres look stretched! What offset (Mr Joe & Rick) are you guys using.. Was thinking of having my wheels machined to a smaller offset!

i run 215/40 on the front for straight line grip and 195/45 on rear and has no problems with catching or rubbing anywhere at all even with 5 in it thats on 7jx16 comps
