Default Bolts.

Hey Brammer.

Hope this can help you out.

Ford Finis Code is. - 6163714 according to ecat.

think you can still get them.

ill check for you at 8:30 when the stealers open if you like

they are made from stainless steel and are either M8 x 20 or M8 x 25 Thread pitch 1.25
but i dont know what grade of material is correct for strength.

Regards, Stephen

Without any doubt(imo), they are NOT stainless steel, 99% sure they are INCONEL, this would go with the color as well.

I've got a spacer between mine for the gt30 and the bolts supplied are stainless Allen key ones just longer so if they work with the spacer surely shorter stainless ones would be ok

As Tabs said, and when they were available they weren't cheap....not torx bolts either, just 12point head's
I broke one on mine many years back, so I just replaced them all with 12.9 m8 allen heads. I wouldn't use stainless as it has pretty naff shear properties...stick with hi-tensile.

As said DON'T use stainless, it has very low ductility, I personally would just use 12.9's in mild steel, they don't need to be done up mentally tight, just use with lots of coppaslip
and as said just regular 12 point jobs, I use a bog std 12 point socket on them, think it's 11mm ?

A few years ago when I took my turbo off all but one of the studs snapped off. I ended up drilling all four of them out and using M10 (IIRC) Stainless nuts, bolts and heavy spring washers.

As I say, it's been like it for a few years and has been absolutely fine; they haven't come loose, snapped and do not show any signs of fatigue.

Sod paying ridiculous amounts for Inconel fasteners.
