Default MFI Adjusting the fueling.

Ok, i know i'm playing with fire here... i DO know that.

But i fitted my old actuator onto my new turbo this evening so she's back running 14psi of boost through a bleed valve
i took her up the road and back on full throttle (she flew ) and the exhaust manifold was starting to glow at the flange end, this was after a mile. Its going to be set up soon, (i was booked in but had to cancel long story) but will adjusting it slightly make any diffrence until its setup? i dont want to blow it up. it doesn't get used hard normally, but it did worry me slightly.

is it the allen head bolt off and then a smaller one underneath that you adjust? on the metering head. i was thinking a quarter of a turn to richen things up a bit.

At your own risk, remove the EMFPA from the right hand side of the metering unit and turn the 3mm (IIRC) allen key 1/8 of a turn clockwise to richen, you'll then need to adjust your idle mixture too as it will now be rich, I would also set the timing with a light to 8Deg BTDC just to be safe...

BUT... IMO... Turn the boost down to stock and drive carefully until setup... There is NO guarantee your fuelling is any where near correct!!

I would take Karlos' second advice. Crank that boost right down and just wait lol.

Not the sort of thing you want to tamper with without all the correct equipment.
