My mate bought 1 last year for Ł140 fitted. Are you fully comp as you would only have to pay your windscreen cover then.

See if you have a screen limit/what it is, if it's high enough a lot of co's just put the x/s on the price so you pay little or nothing, my last tinted with top tint cost me Ł15.
Was about 4 years ago.

Hi ,
I am looking for a heated screen also for my Sapphire,
A genuine Ford one is still available, but rather expensive at Ł600 +
Does any one know if the replacement screens are the same manufacturer as the original ?
My Sapphire is fitted with Sekurit manufactured glass
Thanks

They are as original as the FORD one, FORD never made any windows for any car ever in it's whole history!!
Ford used various outside suppliers as any other maker does, the SEKURIT glass was sourced from Saint-Gobain Sekurit, they employ near on 1/4 million people in 56 countries, and do most std fit auto glass, you could certainly get sekurit if you want, but would cost more, otherwise there's loads to choose from make wise.

Hi tabetha'
I know Ford don't make the glass, what I was meaning is that if I bought a screen from ford it would be a Sekurit made screen.
What I want is a Sekurit screen, but supplied by a windscreen company i.e National Windscreens, Autoglass etc. as that would be cheaper.
The only thing I can do is to ring up and see what make of glass is available from them.

I wouldn't bet on that mate, Ford will supply whatever they have e.g. Sekurit, Triplex, Pilkington etc. I had the same dilemma when I needed a new Sekurit for my own S2 but had to settle on a new old stock Triplex screen. Most suppliers had Pilkington.
