After an unfortunate end to my last Clio172 cup, I bought a new one and as most of the good bits survived they are now gone this car!

I took a four of my cars to Bedford last saturday and my brother in law ended up driving my Clio home. He LOVES it now and as a thanks for letting him hammer it on track he gave it a clean and took some shots of it for me.

On friday I remembered just how much I LOVE the Clio. It was honestly more fun for me than the ExigeS on track. Just loved driving it!

This was a good little play I had in the Lotus though with a similar car on friday night before jumping in Clio

Rentons sounds awesome when hes giving it some

 

Has a ProAlloy intercooler as std coolers suffer v badly from heatsoak and cars get progressively slower lap after lap.

other than that... yep std car. its a late car with Touring, Sports and Performance pack, so it has 240bhp and big 4 pot AP's as std.

goes well! shows how quick the little clio is to keep up!

 

 

Lotus and Donkey need a clean before the weekend. Lotus is bad! 4 trackdays and no clean. Its covered in rubber.

He took it for a Ł6 special at Eastern European place on A127!

The plastics all look properly black not the usual faded crap, the lights look immaculate, the wheels are spotless, the glass is perfect.

Or had it been done properly before then anyway and just needed the trackday grime washing off?

My car is pretty quiet. well it is at the minute as their is no engine in it

But I never have issues with noise at any tracks

 

The february bedford RS day is always a great day out, would be fantastic to see your car there ronnie

you NEED to have a drive of Westfield on track now Chip. OMFG. total oversteering scary scary scary nutty MONSTER!!!!!

leaves HUGE HUGE ' 11's ' out of all corners. 2nd 3rd and 4th gear oversteer.

Must admit though, sounds a bit of a handful to get used to when its someone elses car so will no doubt end up with you taking the piss out of me for being a pussy in it if I do have a shot Really looking forward to a passenger ride though with you knowing what you are doing with it

 

Clio looks to be severely good fun Lee, reminds me of that PS day I did at Bedford with the Clio Cup cars... as a package, it is one of the most fun cars that I've ever been in, even to this day. The way it was able to corner was absolutely brilliant.

I got excited when I saw that there was a day at Bedford on 17th June but I'm on the way to a stag do and think we fly out around lunchtime. If it'd had been the Thursday then I'd have been there for definite though.

Next time I go in such a thing I'm definitely wearing some sort of face or eye protection as the lack of windscreen on Stus didn't help with my looks

 

Yes. You need helmet, googles or Sunglasses.

Its a VERY VERY VERY fast and scary car.

Which is exactly what I wanted. Really happy with 3 track cars now. Westy for excitement and scary speed. Clio for fun and hooligan driving. Lotus is just an lovely thing that can do bit of everthing reliably and with touch of class and comfort for Ring weekends.

Shouldnt need to take any of my other road cars out of track really... but I always do! Just LOVE to track anything!

 

Cars are like Women, there is no point paying for the upkeep on half a dozen of them unless you get in them all as often as possible and give them a thorough ragging.
