Radiator
I need a new radiator for my s2 as its leaking slightly, I've had a look around for a second hand one to no avail, to recore mine it's £120, to buy a new airtec alloy one is £200, which is my best option? Who runs a airtec rad? What are they like and is there any advantages in using a alloy rad?
Cheers, neil

Alloy rad from airtec is what i use. My standard rad was leaking from top to bottom and didnt think twice to buy one.So got the alloy rad. They stronger by far, last longer than most componets on the car.Built to last!!
I have read on other topics that they take a little longer to cool down if running hot but once they cool, they stay cool.So good set of fans will be needed when stuck in traffic!
They are worth every penny but some do choose to run standard rads to keep temps down in long stand still traffic.

Ive heard bad things about re-cores and for an extra £80 i'd go for an Airtec, ive just upgraded from a standard rad to an airtec and the fans control the temps alot better and it stays cooler when driving around. Alloyrads are an "upgrade" for a reason! The only thing is my airtec weighs a ton, dunno if all alloy rads are heavier due to wall thickness for strength etc?
