Default Mk1 Escort Dash Wiring HELP!

Looking for some wiring gurus with lots of patience! My Escort had the standard dash and as I got a hold of a 6 pod I want to change it! So dash has been trimed to suit, etc and it all fits. Wiring is totaly different though? I read that it should be a straight plug in job via the roung multi-plug, but...my Escort is a 70' so I think it may have the original style loom which did not have the round multi-plug? Is that right? I have wired it into the 6 pod dash like for like but am a illumination bulb short and have a spade connector extra on the back of the dash pod I assume is an earth? Also....the rev counter works on electrical pulse from the coil + via a pink wire my loom doesnt seem to have and connects to a black ignition wire i also dont seem to have? The loom in the car looks original so its not been hacked about? Any help would be massivley appreciated.

Thank you! Can you clarify the wire colours will be the same from that loom as the wired in dash loom? My car does not have the multiplug fitment which is a bit of a pain...

Yeah I did but seem to be missing a few connections! Your diagram shows that some wires are taped to the loom so I will unravel some of the standard loom wrap and have a look when I get a chance. Cheers.
