steering colum bushes s2 ???

Default steering colum bushes s2 ???

got a bit of up and down movement so would like to replace all the bushes on the column already got new track rod ends,rack mounting rubbers,new adjustable tca's but still got play in the steering, is it a difficult job to do and how many bushes,bearings are there etc ???

I think it quite fiddley, need to do mine aswell, CarPartsExpress (think thats what he is called, Trader), he sells the kit for the bushes.

Not a fiddly job really, done it to two of my cars now. Just takes time getting the whole column out of the car. I got them from this guy on ebay:

if you are getting up and down movement, sounds to me like the column hasnt been assembled properly or has come loose some where or could even be play in the UJ's in the column.

First off get someone to move the steering wheel for you while you check all the joints/mounts for play.
otherwise get the steering bush kit (as they are a good thing to change if its never been done) and reassemble you WHOLE column.
