Lightbulb YOKOHAMA AD08 Trackday Tyres

Has anyone used these ?

Im looking for a decent tyre for both track and road use, i used to use f1's but i cant get them anymore

Iv found a set of these on ebay for £335 which for a decent gripping tyre is a bargin compared to proper track tyres which are about £550 a set!

I use my focus in sprints and we have a list of tyres to choose from which excludes trackday tyres ,toyo 888's etc.

These are excellent, and all the front runners have gone on to them from toyo t1r's. A mate in an Integra type r beat me into second with these in the wet, so you're getting the best of both worlds.

Can't comment on longevity, since most of the cars either don't run on the road, or have spare race wheels.

Excellent, well i currently cant source the T1r's as the factory was very close to that earthquake in japan so there out of stock everywhere !

ill probably go for the ad08's for now anyways and give them a test run at ford fair

I have Yokohama AD08s on my Fiesta ST track car. Haven't had them long enough to fully appreciate them, but so far the grip levels seem very good.

I was looking for a set of R888s, but they are currently impossible to get. The AD08s aren't much cheaper, but doing some research, had a great following for track use. They look the part too.

Chris.

IMO the best compromise between track tyres and road tyres are the toyo r-1-r they are inbetween the t-1-r and r888
