Guys,
Have any of you refurbished a cam cover for a Cosworth before? If you have could you give me some advice, I will be doing mine soon but I have never done anything like that before.

powdercoating all the way, im getting my rocker cover / header tank/ power steering tank and strut brace done in black and ive got the spec r breather system in black aswel...

my powder coated one. was alto cheaper & easyer to not have the letters done (also looks a bit different

and the one i recently did for my other cossy. only cost Ł7 to do & that was for the wrinkle black paint. sanded the silver with 320 grit wet n dry then just painted the letters with a small brush

heres mine i did a few years ago. did 7 layers with a gloss rattle can, cant remember what make it was and then hand brushed in the letters in the blue and red then carfully rubbed down the metal around the lettering.

Si i got my cover blasted back to bare metal, etch primed and painted with this wrinkle paint

to save paying for a machine shop to machine the top of the cam cover down use one of these and do it yourself,you can also get them to fit into a grinder which i found to be easier,although i do like the machining affect on your brammer.

I do like the blue Ford badge and the red lettering, but I also think Chris's looks a little understated which I like a lot. Although I'm not sure if that was the look you were going for lol. I think I may have to do a mixture of both to be honest.
