As above, i am doing a restoration on my saph and its been converted to 2wd but is still running the 4x4 rear end with a 7" rear diff and as the engine is suppose to be around 400bhp i wasnt sure if it would take that abuse for long.

any help would be great

Someone i know is putting 2.7bar through one from a T4 lol, mind you he don't launch it.

Martin, it's the torque not the BHP you need to be concerned about..

 

less than a normal 2wd unit, one launch on my pumped up 7.5 diff with 410lb /ft and it got smashed to bits

 

So is it worth the hassle sourcing a 7.5 diff, cradle and shafts or just keeping it
as is. i want the car to be relaible as i can make it.....
