sierra 2.i efi pinto
What best for power, a cone filter or a K&N pannel filter using a drilled standard air box?
The cone in question is a 19.99 ebay special (in my defence it was on sale at me local Maccess for 3.99)
Have both and to be honist the cone filter is better for space but i will do the extra work for better power.

the one that's best for power is the one that will flow the most air.
to be honest, i doubt that either will make much of a difference, knowing that the 2.0i has a flap based air mass meter.

I think i may go for the standard airbox if the cone doesn't make any power, i would prefer to get it as normal looking as i can but cheap/easy power can't be sniffed at (by which i meen bolt on)
Extra power would have swung the balence even though fitting a standard air box will meen changing the rad, moving the washer bottle and bracket and having to remove it every time i want to get to the coil, ign pack and pass headlight bulb
Plus i could remove the BMW part i fitted to get the AFM and filter to match
It's these little snagging jobs that take forever
cheers for the input
