Default Trade Insurance advice

Hey guys im looking to get a traders policy as a pat time trader from home, id be looking for cover for my main car up to £10000 value, and cover to enable me to do some buying at auction and drive em home, and occasional use of family or friends motors - any advice who to try, id rather use a company that does pay out if needed rather than a cheapo one thats useless when needed lol cheers!

I'm in the same boat as you, but i've read the small print on trade policies and says you need to show accounts for the business, as most of the stuff I need it for is favours I.e I look after my mates van and he plasters my house, or familie jobs free. I wounldn't be covered.

Insurance is a rip off. I have 10+ years NCB on my van policy.5 of which came from my car insurance. If I go back to a car..all is lost...WHY.Isnt a van harder to drive.Plus normaly, they are used more. Also its insured as private use only, anyway. I packed in self employed a while ago
