Default Anyone have a new Fiesta?

Junior got a new Fiesta Zetec S a couple of weeks ago and has just noticed a bit on the rear quarter, right down at the bottom rear corner of the driver door, that looks like it has something stuck on - about 3-4" high and 1/2-3/4" wide. It seems to come from under the skirt and goes up the doorpost and rear quarter.

Initially I thought it may be a protective film but it isn't on the passenger side. Surely can't be a touch-up because it is very regular with a sharp edge, more like a sticker than anything else. Anyone else got this before I go back and start moaning?

It's to protect against stone chips.

That's the kind of thing. Not a clue why it would be on the driver's side and not the passenger's, though.

its one of two things.....its either to protect against stone chips and they have forgotton to fit it on one side

or it should have been removed at the PDI as its there to protect the car when transported to the dealers

Just because it's brand new doesn't mean it's not had paint already TBH... but I guess it's more likely that the passenger side doesn't have this protection due to it being overlooked accidently in the factory or during PDI.

Cheers,
Grant
