Hi, new to the forum (and to fast ford ownership!) and got myself a bit of a project 1990 frst.
been through a few issues with it.. got one causing me some problems.

basically, if you accelerate hard in say second gear, relatively low load.. it will boost and accelerate fine.
if you put it in 4th or any other high load situation from a slow speed and floor it... the boost will begin to build up and then you get a sort of missfire/shudder then it will keep accelerating.. its almost asthough it pops back through the inlet.

i've checked the tps on an osciloscope.. and its good.
changed fuel filter, although yet to check the pressure (im pretty sure its a management fault)

i've done the the led diagnostic.. and if im interpreting it correct its coming up code 22,, which according to autodata is a volume air sensor???? what ever that might be?? i was expecting it to come up map sensor but no such luck.

any common problems that would cause this? its boosting 0.5 bar at the moment and it has no chip,, t3 turbo with amal valve disconnected.

its got a load related top end/small end bearing which im yet to check in to.. not to bothered about rattles as a new build is coming but i want the manangement spot on first.

any help much appreciated, i have searched and found similar problems but they all seem to be un answered..
