up for sale is my 1987 D reg fiesta mk2 xr2

the only reason for sale is the car will only really get used for the odd run out on good days and my saff is due out at the end of the month so will not be really get used so may as well put it up for sale .

the car still has its completely standard and still has its standard exhaust and stereo even still has its original spare pirelli tyre

the car came from FRYS OF LEWISHAM and was still wearing its fitted dealer number plates , rear window sticker and tax disc .

mechanically the car is spot on , the engine is sweet as a nut and the car drives perfect , everythings still all tight and theres no knocks bangs or rattles etc....

the mileage is showing 49000 miles which i believe to be genuine due to the way it drives and condition of the shell but do not have anything to back this up

the bodywork is solid , straight and rust free , even behind the kit and is still wearing its original sills etc....

all the usual areas that are prone to rusting have been well treated with waxoyl and you can tell its done its job and preserved it well and kept it a rust and rot free example .

its MOT,D till october 2011 and NOW TAXED FOR 6 MONTHS

all the underside tie bars etc... are all powder coated and poly bushed

it has many brand new parts just been fitted over the winter when of the road , like new brakes and wheel bearings all round , rear wheel cylinders and shoes , timing belt kit and plenty more that i,ve probably forgot

as you,ll see from the pics its missing the spotlights but they,ll be added this week as the set i had on let the car down so have another set to go on .

That's a genuine minter. I've had heaps of these and still have an orange one but that is the cleanest mk2 I've seen in years especially all original.

i never got much with it , its a long story , phone if your interested and i,ll explain

in all honesty imo history means nothing with these cars anyway as myself i buy on condition thats better than any service history imo

but i will guarentee you the car is solid , no rust/rot anywhere

i,m that confident the first person to view will buy if you come and view and find any rot etc... i,ll even pay for your fuel back home .

 

Problem is coming to look is not really that simple as you couldn't really be any further away from me if you tried

 

Should you buy it,I can happily drive this down to you in Essex on my next trip home,purely to check it all works of course!!!

I wouldn`t want you travelling all that way up and back lol!!!

 

essex is,nt to far , drove all the way down there for a xr2 before , also done southhampton for a xr2i both were,nt as described to

 

a £50 flight to glasgow airport would do the trick get picked up n drive home could all be done in 8 hours

I put my orange one up last sat and it was gone Sunday tea time to the first to contact me. Gumtree is not bad for selling aswell. Had a heap of interest from their aswell. Sold quite a few cars and bikes through that site aswell.

i could,nt tell you for definate but i think they were an optional extra

mines was with the car when i got it ,

just keep an eye on ebay you,ll maybe get one on there , but they are hard to find and hardly ever pop up for sale
