Default Can I buy parts on internet for mechanic to fit?

Hi,

I need a new clutch put into my Ford Fiesta MK6, and the mechanic said that to buy and fit it, it would be £230. Is this a reasonable price, and would it be cheaper for me to buy the part online?
(Any trusted part websites you would recommend would be great!)

Cheers

Doesn't sound like a bad price tbh if that's parts and labour included. You could do with getting a full breakdown of what percentage of that price is labour so you can see if you can get the parts cheaper.

As sed not a bad price the biggest problem with a customer supplying there own parts is if its the wrong parts then cars going be stuck on the ramp till u get anouther sorted and the garage will probily charge you for keeping a ramp tied up till u get get anouther clutch sorted or charge u for doing the job twice if they put it back together till u get anouther one sorted
