Default What are the chances??

Had my Audi serviced at the main dealers in November and had the belt done at the same time along with a rear parking sensor.

Open the bonnet today (first time since) and find that they have slit the plastic engine cover - looks like someone tried to pull it off with a screw/bolt still in place

100% was not there before and spotted it instantly (it's glarringly obvious) and nobody has touch my car since.

Called the dealers but they said I need to speak to servicing when they are open on Monday.

So, naturally not happy, but what are the chances of them replacing it? given it has been 4 months since they did the work?

Zero, unless by chance they're a dealership that prides itself on customer service... which is very unlikely mate.

Cheers,

hahah bloody truth as well, being winter and the car being serviced, had no reason to open the bonnet.

Oh well, will see what they say, think it is disgusting though, accidents happen fair enough but that is blatant and should have been replaced by them rather than close the bonnet and see if it get spotted.

Never take my cars to the stealer and in the last 15 years the two times i have i have not been happy with the end result. My normal mechanic treats my cars like gold dust but then if you want the dealer stamp!!!

My brothers always moaning about the crap audi dealers, but 4 months = no chance imo.

Normally would tabetha, but to be honest, having been serviced, and the car not really doing many miles a week, and it being bloody cold over winter lol!! I just hadn't needed to.

When I checked today nothing needed doing as is the norm with it.

More miffed that if someone breaks something, they should put it right, they would have know they have done it, but guess if they can pretent it never happened and go and get a coffee it is a win win for them.

i thought all work carried out had a years guarantee with it. I cant believe you havent needed to top your windscreen washers up or checked your oil.

Well, called this morning and spoke to the supervisor who was a little blunt at first then said bring it down and let me look at it.

Took it down and he had a look, checked what work had been carried out and ordered a replacement part, very nice chap.

Apologised and said they would pick up the bill, and said when i pop back in tomorrow to leave the car with them as there is a recall for the coil pack and i may as well have it sorted there and then.

Really happy with them as I expected to be told it had been too long.
