buy on condition and not history is my advise; i think its a good buy, especialy if the bumper is a genuine rs500 one as he claims, they are worth silly money!

History is always an advantage as you know exactly what your looking at and have confirmation to back claims up but on the other hand so is condition - i went for history over condition and it cost me ŁŁŁŁ's

What ever it has good history or a bit rough either way its goin to cost you a fortune mark my words ! but for the money if its not rotten it looks good ! esp if the bumper is what he says it is ! sell the bumper & put a standard 3 door front bumper on it the car will owe you around 5k
Whoever is selling it just paid Ł700 for that front bumper, i saw it the other day and put it on my watch list out of curiousity to see what itd go for

saff cosworth with 90k, full ford service history with rotten chassis legs
or
cosworth with 150k, no history, with solid chassis legs
what would you choose?
the full service history is basically for proof of oil changes, if you're buying a cossie, the chances are you'll be rebuilding the engine at some point anyway, so i fail you see how full service history makes a fart of difference
all IMO of course

If you want a concourse show stopper that'll be worth mega money (that you're too scared to drive) then full history is a must
BUT if you want a good, solid, useable car, then buy purely on condition !
Mines got a shed load of reciepts but no service history as such, I just bought it as it was in overall good nick and the engine was sweet as a nut

If you buy a cossie and want good re sale value is the history inportant? Of course it is.
To have a good car you need it to be rust free and with history
Let me ask you a question genuine rs500 one with full history every single receipt with a little rust and a rs500 with no history and no rust.. Which one do you buy?
I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!

my car has 103k on it,full history to 88k,but that was 1999,lets see its had 3 engine rebuilds,3 cylinder heads,2 exhausts,4 diffrent brake set ups,3 suspension set ups.3 gearboxes, since then
so i suppose the fsh could count for its current headlight bulbs and wiper blades

neither of the fuckers man, i'd rather have a proper one with no rust and low miles and loads or full history and a nice original ford service history book showing the ford stamps that prove the original owner/s were proper and not a scabby dickhead with the pot running on empty

and another thing how do you know a 17 owner shit cosworth showing 60 odd thou is correct and not had a haircut or on its 3rd lap of the speedo ? who if were honest wants a car like a cosworth thats been round the clock and the seller or last dozen owners witholds that info.
History is the key to get great money for a really good car but theres always someone who will buy a shitter for a fortune because they know no better !
