ST24 Idle Speed Valve

Default ST24 Idle Speed Valve

A friend has been advised he needs a new idle speed valve for his ST24, are they a hard thing to fit yourself? im fairly (i hope) handy with spanners but never like doing anything to difficult on other peoples cars, any info would be great

Very easy job, dissconnect it, and its two bolts. its located at the top/back of the inlet manifold, on the right hand side near the bulkhead. there a re a lot of little plastic pipes around it for the EGR vlave etc, they are very brittle, and snap very easy, so just be carefull, but bar that, it shouldnt take more than 15 minutes

legend, many thanks for your help, he got quoted £160 quid to fit it!!!

WTF, if he was local, id have done it for him for nothing. as i said, its an easy job, just a bit fiddly with it being so close to the bulk head, and the EGR pipes etc, but its straight forward enough. £160 ffs

Just took a couple of pics to help you



This pic shows the top bolt



And the block you need to disconnect




i also pulled the pipe off the EGR in the last pic, when your changing the ISCV, do the same, and move the pipe out of the way, because they do like to snap
