Default New to Turbos - Best Dump Valve to get?!?

In the process of turboing my 1.7 racing puma engine... idealy i would love chatter but for the sake of saving my turbo it has been advised i use a dumpvalve.

are there dumpvalves you can get that make a similar chatter? if not what are the best dump valves to go for? i do not know the difference between single or double piston vlaves.

Pros and cons please

Thanks

You can get an adjustable dump valve and set it so that it will only dump on high boost, therefore you will still get a little chatter, but kind of slightly defeats the object of fitting one if u turn it up too high.

What turbo do you plan on running? If its a t3 or similar from an ERST etc I wouldn't worry about running no dv as they're sturdy old units and will take the "abuse".

Oh you just want to pose with the noise from a stalling turbo on a turbo conversion and not get the performance gains and peace of mind of a dumpvalve, gotcha. The GGR is a high pitched sound and filtered to stop dirt ingress on idle.

With low boost you should be ok without the turbo failing, but you will still get the stalling/ the sound that you want if you don't run some kind of dumpvalve
