Lift the carpet in the front footwells if you can, and check the front jacking points, if they're still there....
Everything else as above really.
Rear bumper looks like it's not sitting right (maybe just me?) it should just be a case of adjusting it though, but i'd check it's nothing else dodgy. Mechanically I wouldn't worry too much, unless it's obviously fooked, but thats just me.

Doesn't say about mileage, owners or rebuilds. Looks an ok car, worth a look if it's not too far away.

where shall i start!!!!

oil cap not put back on so oil everywhere
tappets needed doing
no water in header tank
PAS fluid looked like strawberry milkshake
New fuel lines front to back hanging down under the car
The inside of each spoke of the front wheels had been ground away to allow wheels to clear callipers
Both front tyres bald on the inner edges
Nearside front suspension turret starting to split
Rear bumper cracked and needed new
Smell of stale water in boot from a leak
Laquar coming off C pillar
Rear inner wings fouling on the wheels
Centre vents replaced with a boost gauge and 2 switches “anti lag and “launch control”
2 wires hanging out the gear lever with a switch, which i assume was for the launch control - no signs of any of the above actually fitted apart from the switches
Grey injectors not fitted, the multi plugs on the loom are grey so i assume thats why he thought they were greys!! They were black topped so i’m assuming they were Siemens 55lbph injectors.

To be fair it was very solid underneath in the usual places, few spots of rust along all 4 doors from under the window scraper mouldings

Defo not the car for zowow!!!

It's a shame really, if someone was really after a crystal blue one I expect they could get it up to scratch for a couple of grand but agreed, most of them these days are so rough round the edges it's hard to see the potential in the car I guess.

Even if you saw past the bits and pieces it needed, the gut feeling was to walk away.
Shame though, but it was probably for the best

Cheers again though fur for coming with me, much appreciated - I owe you a couple of beers as usual

James

i know this car very well, last year it had a couple of rods a new crank, shells oil pump, rings etc due to it doing big end in, in a spectacular way, it certainly HAS got ALS and launch control, and stu @ msd will confirm this, it was running 83lb siemens but on a t3, iirc stu and kenny werent happy with tims choice of injectors for the turbo he was going to run, any other info pm me and ill try and help as much as poss for anyone, dont know who owns the car now though but it was a mate tim who sold it a few month ago on the bay, i wasnt happy as i wanted to buy the plate of him!!!
