Yes. It's good stuff, fairly easy to use and looks quite effective. Will post pics of my A4 interior trim tomorrow as I'm on my phone and can't be bothered to get back out of bed

 

I want to use this on the roof of my VR6 track after it goes orange.

 

I've used it now. Fairly easy to use on simple shapes. I've got no patience or craft skills, but the little bit of dash trim I did turned out quite well IMHO.

Seen some people do very clever intricate work with it, but I think I'll quit while ahead! I used a heat gun to help shape it round curves and a decent craft knife. It's very easy if you're patient

I use this a lot with my job, its a very good vinyl and easy to work with
I did have some issues fitting to some interior parts, but it was more what it was going on rather than the vinyl, they do a Primer to help adhesion to parts that it struggles to stick to, but from what I remember they don't stock this in the UK but that may have changed as I haven't used any for a while

 

anyone know of any fitters/installers of this in the south east.

i know where to buy it from, but need someone with experience to fit it, as ive got no intention in the slightest at trying it myself.

I sell 3m di-noc carbon wrap if look on my website (address is in sig) I can also supply the primer.

It's not difficult to use if you start on interior trim parts to get the hang of how the material works but you do need a bit of practice before doing really akward shapes

 

i know you sell it, i would have come to you for the purchase anyhow.

i'm planning to do all of my bike panels in this, but then thinking about it the other day i don't think it would stand up to jetwashing. or would it be ok if done from a distance?

 

What's the fascination with carbon ?, my mates just given me £150 worth of carbon fibre, as used on a certain F1 teams car/s, going to make a switch panel out of it, he gave me some single weave laminate, he's done his kit car with herringbone weave, must admit that looks nice, can't understand the plastic look a likes, but hey ho each to their own and all that, I'd just be more worried that if say you did your sapphy mirror covers in it they'd get stolen.

I had a play and came up with this

 

Did some on my old evo 6. It's actually pretty good stuff for fake, the weave look is impressive IMO. Strange thing is how this stuff is available and yet Ford knock out the new focus RS with a really crappy looking fake carbon fibre trim.

 

I've done my B pillar trims and jet wash it all the time and it's been fine so far

 

I'm having some of my bike panels done at the mo, will post up once done.

not cheap to do a whole car though i expect, would love to do my FRS, cheaper than painting it too. my mates would take the piss though.......

 

lol, nah not the cheapest vinyl to wrap a car in! Especially now as 3M have decided to raise their prices!!!!! (thankfully after I did this one!!)

 

how do cars look up close after being wrapped, i've never looked at the Rs500 up close or any of the matt BMW's (unless they are paint)

i've heard stories of vynil wrapping costing £1000-1500 for a good job, and if that had wrinkles, or the door jambs where a different colour i'd be a little dissapointed

what are the pros and cons of doing it, My focus will need some paint this year and i toyed with the idea of wrapping it instead.....but i'm not convinced.
