I was in my local ford dealership over the weekend and they had the new shape focus in the showroom.

I've got to say it looks absolutely fantastic inthe metal and the promotional pictures just do not do it justice.
The shape is awesome and the interior is just amazing.
Its only out in 5 door guise at the moment but i think the 3 door version will be an absolute stunner.

Uf they do an rs version of it it'll be the dogs Bollocks!.
Its just so much better than the previous models and the interior is up there with the wow factor.
Awesome piece of kit.
Just my opinion. If u haven't seen it get down and have a look you will be pleasantly surprised.

 

There is no 3dr planned 5 Door only for the global car

 

Can't wait for the mk 4 Capri since there is no 3 door Focus
Haven't seen the new Focus in the flesh yet, I hope it is (as you say) better than the promo shots.

 

I think its a stunning car and it makes that new vauxhall astra look bland. I really like the new focus. Hopefully the mrs will be getting a new car next year and if the price is right we might even get a new shape focus.

 

I think that is a major faux pas by ford. It does look good as a 5 door but a 3 door would complete the line up and be the base for any performance model.

If you look at how many 3-door Focus are on the road now, you'll realise that it's not a faux pas on Ford's behalf, just a sensible business decision. Let's just hope there's something else in the line-up to take the place of a 3-door.

Agreed they should, hopefully, introduce a model to replace the 3 door.....bring back the Capri using the same chassis!

 

i drove the new 1.6 ecoboost petrol turbo today, very nice car really, much quieter on the road and got a bit of get up and go about it, not like previous (small cc) petrol focuses where you've had to rev the balls off it to get it to do anywhere. It was returning good mpg on the trip aswell - 35mpg at a steady 70mph in 6th gear.

there has been talk the next rs will be 4x4 - but with an electric motor powering the rear wheels.
