hey, my car's battery light comes on when moving(or just reving) and goes off on idle and when i take the key out the light is on
not sure what it could be as car runs fine and battery hasnt gone flat yet
hopfully somthing simple

It's the regulator at fault or the rectification side, thus allowing current to flow backwards back to the light illuminating it, trouble is this will flatten your battery when left, it can still charge ok though as in your case, despite the light telling you otherwise.
