Has anyone done this or know if it can be done?
I am wanting to run 13x7 rs 4 spokes on my mk2 instead of the 15's it has at the moment, but with my current brake set up the caliper is just catching the inside of the rim when i try a 13" steel rim.
I have checked the dimensions and 11" is the diameter of the wheel inside edge on the steel and the same on a 13x6 4 spoke, so i am presuming it is the same on a 13x7?
My plan is too keep the current brake set up and machine the 11" inside edge.
Just wondered if the rim will take a 1mm or 1.5mm shaving?
I am gonna try it on an old 13x6 first. Help please.

 

i have had my 13x6 rs 4spokes machined but in a different way, the spokes have been shaved down to save weight, probably machined 8mm out of them with no problems!
