Default st200 abs light.

After having to sell my first st200 a few yr's back I promised myself I'd get another one. Well one came up for sale locally a few day's ago. Went for a look an it's a bit rough around the edges but will scrub up good. Only problem's I have with it are the abs an traction control light's are on. The guy said that one of the front abs bracket's has snapped off the shock. He thought that's why the light's were on. Does anybody know off any prob's with the abs on these?

Also the rear wiper Seem's to be on all the time. Is anybody aware of any prob's with them?

Yes mate, you have to remove -

Battey
Inlet box
Brake servo

to get to the pump

then the fuckers need re-programming from what I remember and the bleeding pattern isnt strate forward once changed.

And an instant MOT failure with that approach.

Could be the sensor which are prone to going and a simple fix. Just WD40 well before trying to remove the old one.

If it has snapped the bracket then it is a new hub as they bolt onto the hub not a huge job again.

The ABS pump however is a diffrent issue as they are a real pain to do.

I know, mind you saying that my mate binned his 05 reg focus into a kerb trying to get away from someone (long story) and set his seat airbag off, he just taped over the light and had the seat stitched back up while he saved to get it fixed.passed an MOT too :/

Airbag light isnt a failure whereas the ABS light is specifically tested. not all cars have the airbag lights whrereby all HAVE to have the ABS one

The front drivers side sensor lug has snapped off the hub. That'll be that problem then.

Will the hub off a 2.0si be the same?
