Can anybody confirm that on a yb,the correct direction to tension the timing belt is anti-clockwise

Yes that is correct but you will need the correct gauge to do it.

Hi Mark,what happens if I dont have a gauge,I've turned it by hand about 10 revolutions,and all marks are still lining up
