I would stick with adjustable shocks for road and occasional track use. My konis are rock hard even on the softest setting

Neither but the handling and ride quality is superb if a little hard, the only bonus with koni or spax adjustables is you can adjust them to a softer or medium setting, but i wouldnt go back to koni after having these

Rob what did you do on the rear? Ive been told you can't run rear coilovers as they break the rear turrets. Because the springs are mounted on the chassis not the turrets...?

ROB Your car looks nice from the underside m8!
Im on AVO's up the front, KONIs on the rear, and the AVOs up front made a difference over the koni's! Looking to go for rear AVOs next...

The best thing about coilovers is when you jack the car up the wheel come off the ground almost instantly, no more massive shock droop!

I wonder if the rear AVO shocks are shorter than the KONIs - ie make the wheel lift quicker!?

Cheers mate my daily driver is an old e36, bilsteins are meant to be the doggies dangles on them so i don't see why they wouldn't be very good an rst too.

Cheers mate, thats nice to say. Yep the fronts are coilovers the rears normal. Lifting a wheel isn't always good tho, long suspension travel (not soft) is normally better as the wheel stays in contact with the road for longer, which means more grip.

I have always rated Koni for normalish spec fast road. They can sit a touch high on the rear, but decent quality.

Bilstiens are always good, as are Eibach. Those two are always top notch stuff on any car, quality stuff.

Coilovers are often a compromise and not always the answer for road cars. Especially cheap kits.

I really dont know which is best, i think it depends where you will use car?
My car has yellow koni adjustables + H&R -25mm springs / powerflex bushes.
Quite comfortable and easy to drive. My personal opinion about springs is that H&R and Eibach are best that i have seen this far. I use H&R also in my BMW.

Yeah Anitto, thats a good point. It might be worth swapping the springs around off diff kits to get the desired comfort etc...
The Koni's spring rate is a little on the firm side, and may benefit from softer springs!

Rob, good point about the longer wheel shock travel, but i want short shocks on the rear so i can lift a rear wheel in my 4 door saloon - something you don't see very often!
