can you buy them seperate? thought a genuine filter would get some with it....

pete i bought 2 lately for my rst.
1st one came with copper washers,2nd one never.
i bought 2 cos 1st wouldnt seal and it split after i had to tighten it tooo much lol

you can buy em seperate mate.
my local motorfactors sell em on them racks called oddbits or something.
the spinning rack with fuses,jubilees,connectors etc on.

 

Mine from ford have never had new washers, but these are easy to get.
As a get you outta shit measure if yo heat the old washers to cherry red with a blow torch and allow to cool, this re softens them, so they will then seal perfectly like new again.

cheers tab, my mate also told me this about heating them up, one side is sealed but some tool has used the wrong size washer the other side so hence the leak, back on it again tom.

Loads of them washers on eBay mate.

 

sorted now! thanks for all the info, managed to find some new washers and done the heat up trick!

now as dry as a nuns chuff!
