Hi Guys, im after buying a cossie, ive been looking at few and just wonderd if the colour of the engine means somehing, ive been told a green top is the one to get??? Can anyone shed any more light on this subject please???

'Back in the day' a red top meant it was for 4star petrol and a green top was unleaded.

Now all cossies should be ran on superplus,optimax etc.

the colour of the cam cover means nothing. all yb engines will run on unleaded fuel. green ones originally came with lambda sensor and cat originally.

you have to decide if you want 2wd or 4x4, then judge each car on it's individual condition and what parts are std or modded.
