RWD XR2 or Rear Engined S1?
Well, what would ya have, it's just an idea thats running through my head, what would ya have,
A gulf racing coloured XR2 with a 2.0 16v Vauxhall XE engine on throttle bodies , it's front engined, but running a 5 linked Atlas rear end, (it's the old P/Ford one, and it's sat in my garden, as a shell) or
A Series1 RS turbo with a 1.8 Zetec on throttle bodies mounted in the rear with a big bulkhead,
The engines are in my garden, and I've allready got the XR2 shell, but the S1 thing ( I can't think of another way to describe it!) would be alot cheaper to build, but harder as the XR2 needs a full MK2 Escort suspension set up etc, oh and a decent Atlas costs £2500+
Well, what would ya have, I think the XR2 would handle aswell.

MEF won an event outright with an XE running RWD in a Fiesta shell.
Should never have sold it really, but after the win NO further development was necessary I suppose.
Forget about the rear engined one Andy they take lots to get them to handle well.
Forget about Mk2 stuff too - look for grafting something newer in
