Default Mobil 1 15/50 motorsport not being made anymore...

Just been to get some and was told mobil arent making the 15/50 anymore and are moving to 10/60?!?!

this will still be ok wont it?

I put a thread up about this awhile ago. Yeah, it will still be fine to use. If not, slightly better. Suppose it will be an equivelant to the Millars 10/60.

i run the valvaline 20/50 race oil its expensive but i never have my oil pressure drop when its hot ....

its recommended by quite a few engine builders

The valvoline oil is good for RACE use, the detergant package is not good, as it doesn't need to be for race use, there are far better oils for everyday stop start cars, esp where infrequent/short trip use is seen.
The move to a 60 weight oil from mobil is no bad thing imo, as always found it thinning out too much when pushed to the limit.

My site is only a fraction done it will get bigger over the next few weeks, however 5 litres will be Ł38 delivered

it works realy well in my car .... its what the engine builder recommended although i had millers in my old cossies....

i have been told it needs to walmed up alot more before hard driving as its for race engines but mines built for 500+hp
