Great project

A word of caution on the gearing though, 3.14:1 diffs and a taller 5th gear will almost certainly be too high for the engine to pull.

EDIT to add. I did not know that a front diff was available with that ratio ??

Keep the pics coming.

Mark

Gave the car a well deserved wash today an tidied it up abit.

bought a black bumper and fitted my 3 door cosworth bumper just to test fit it, as im looking for a FG one.

also fitted the 3 door cossy alloys, recaro d/s and lowered it.

Still need to source a black saph bonnt and grille. and fit my GLSI rubber spoiler:P

Enjoy

I had 4wd cossie brakes front and rear on my
one and really improved the braking. I had to fit 4wd cos hubs on the front though in order to fit the brakes.

My old sierra ended up in ireland.I wonder if its still alive.Ive got a funny feeling its dead.

I know a lad who had a cossie V6 in his sierra estate and he said it is as fast as a proper cossie.

yeah if it came here it probably ended up on its roof somewere

well ive only ever been in a stage one cossy, injectors, filter and chip

and the 24v is miles faster, the torque is always there on tap and dont need to worry about them as much.

i wouldnt see myself ever turning to yb, i think my next car will be a twin turbo 24v BOA. reliable power for little money

no there a great engine, just seem that more things happen to them and are usually quite costly to keep and pay for.

the diffs are 3.64, i said 3.14 by mistake but edited it.

wouldnt want to get into the hassle of shipping costs to N.I, parts always get damaged.

also about brakes

cossie 4wd rear wont fit unless you change the hubs to cossie aswell

for the fronts a cheap upgrade is use 2wd cossie discs and 4wd cossie calipers and pads, will bolt straight on and you get to use the bigger disc off the 2wd, will save loads as you dont have to buy cossie front hubs

Got a few hours work at the car today

painted the interior, seat mounts and tunnel and few scabby bits on the exterior. Still needs a few coats yet

also fitted the exhaust system, quite happy actaully as it isnt overly loud

Took the xr4x4 badges off, more sleeper looking now

brackets painted

Spare wheel well painted

Interior is next on the list, then building it back up

cheers for looking
