They were the only ones available when i got mine - also if your buying new question the rate of the the springs as i think they sell the kits with the wrong springs for Cosworths - i remember a thread regarding it years ago

Thanks m8, good advise, what are good rates for a 2wd saph, mostly used on road with the odd track day

Mine came with 300 F, 200 or 250 R i think.
Mike Rainbird advises slightly softer at the rear, can't remember his comments on the fronts.

I've got standard gaz & i hate them, i've spolit a nice road going car, i've got softer rear spings (180lb)to put on mine & hopefully it will make a difference.

Koni's & ahmed springs off Mike R is the way to go.

Paul, i already have Koni's and ahmed springs and if i'm honest it handles really really well, just thought some coilovers would be the next step up, maybe not, dont want to waste Ł600 and it be worse.

Mine feels perfectly good with gaz coilovers and standard beam. What spring rates and damper settings are you using?

pass .... lol it came with them but if it loses traction it fish tails quite badly but it is running 415bhp@1.5 bar but its going to mad soon for something to be fixed and will be at 2.2bar and 500+ again

so this needs sorting pretty soon so i think a rear beam and a diff mount are on the cards

If you jack up your car and look at the spring rates you may be able to cure the problem by ordering softer springs. Sounds like they may be too hard. Much cheaper than a new beam

I personally would put the money towards 6 degree rear beam and arms and enhance the already good koni/ahmed set up

Sorting the handling is more important than more power, thats for sure.
Common sense really.

I have totally the opposite with mine, it just sinks down and pulls straight through with a little kick at 2.5 bar but nothing to really worry about as it straightens up quickly - what wheels are you running on the back? strut brace, bushes??

True i wouldn't like to be pumping 500+ through a car that fish tails badly

its on gaz coilovers and polybushes and now has compomotive th2's with dunlop maxs on but when it had standard wheels with r888s it wasnt to bad ..... so its got to be the wheels and tyres

but if i keep it im going to put r888s and a 6 degree beam on it

think i might invest in an adjustable beam this yearas mine is useless in first and second which i did like at first but now while mine is killing the tyres any other car starts pulling away.. i was thinking of getting some 9 inch wide rear wheels but realisticly cant see that the odd few mm tread on the road making that much difference.. dont want fat tyres hanging over the 8s that i have..
