whats the best way to paint them ? or is powder coating a better way?

 

Powder coating would give a tougher finish.
But if you want to do it yourself, just clean it all up well and use some aluminium primer before you paint it as normal!

What colour you gonna go for?

 

black with the 'ford motorsport' bit in silver ?

 

You need to bare metal it, acid etch prime primer it then top coat. I would paint the silver rather than just sand the top back to bare alloy as it looks a bit dull. Paint the silver on the logo first, top coat it as normal then sand back the top coat untill back to th silver.

can you still get hold of the oil caps aswell?

 

no but there the same as some vw ones just have to have a scout round scrappies as i can't remember which one

 

and dont forget charge carriers dont go over them unless you butcher the rocker cover
