Default 2wd T3 on a ZT

Im intending on running a 2wd cossie T3 zetec turbo engine ive bought.
It would have 0.48 exhaust housing, 55 trim compressor wheel, a/r 42 comp housing and a 360 bearing.
Can anyone tell me what power this turbo isw good for?

Cheers

depends on how reliable you want it to be, you can make it do big numbers but it might not last long.

what boost do you plan on running?

prob around a bar tbh.
the spec would be 2wd cossie front mount, weber iw058 injectors, 2.1 zt with 2.0 inlet cam 130 spec ex cam, uprated valve springs and standard head otherwise.
Bottom end is 8.5 - 1 comp with forged pistons and steel rods.
The car would be custom mapped by MSD.
Was hoping for around 300bhp but dont want to run the turbo at its limit, like you say, then it shits itself early.

i dont think you'll get 300hp at 1 bar of boost.

a t3 on a cosworth YB as an example will still be reliable at 2 bar of boost (30 psi peak). If the turbo has had a refresh then i dont see it being an issue at 2 bar. but it depends on the condition of the turbo.

when you start running 34psi spikes you'll run into problems.
i ran my t3 at 28 psi and had no problems at all

A T3 running at 2 bar?
The compressor maps for a T3 55 trim stops at a pressure ratio of 2.8 (26 psi)
The T3 55 trim turbo at that boost is outside any efficiency map. It is just making hot air. Upper useful limit is 21 psi.
I would hate to measure the exhaust back pressure with a .48 turbine running 30 psi boost. Minimum 60 psi backpressure.

A 60 trim T3 does not flow enough air (lbs/minute) to make 345 HP.
Your dyno operator was probably factoring a 35% loss to the wheels to come up with "big" power levels.
Believe what you want.
