Default Skoda Fabia VRS diesel

Anyone have one of these as was looking to get one in the near future, like the mpg idea and quite good for tuning so 2 plus points already.

I have a 54plate Vrs diesel on the drive and it goes like a little rocket.

A nice car if you don't mind it's looks! They look about as interesting as a night in with your gran watching the antiques roadshow.

Is yours standard or has it been remapped?

Plenty of things to make them look prettier, was looking it as an alternative to my Series1.

FWIW, I've never owned one, but a friend has... and it went very well, looked like a fast smokey brick on the move but never gave him any stress apart from the clutch when he got it mapped up.

Cheers,
Grant

I'd be interested to know a bit more about these, as a friend of mine was looking at them. What sort of money do they go for these days?

you can pick up a good example from Ł4000 to Ł5500 or you can spend over 6k and get a lower mileage example

if its this sort of shape you are interested in, have a look at the polo tdi sport

100hp & 240nm as standard but a remap and decat, you'll be looking at 135hp & 300nm torque, little rockets!

i know of a cheap 3 door 2003 (53) 1.9 polo tdi sport in black coming up for sale shortly. PM if interested.

a friend had the skoda and had quite a few issues, power steeing problems, clutch problems and a gearbox issue - but i think that was a one off as dont hear of that many problems with em

Sadly as a replacement lost interest in it really, was looking for a quickish daily without the hassle, the worry of leaving it anywhere, show scenes not what it used to be etc (my opinion)
