i got an auto mk4 fiesta.. yes i laugh at it too BUT i have some plans for it which involve keeping the engine and box funny enough, at the minute it will hang with corsa SRi's and similar

ive got a home made intake on it which puts the filter down away from any sources of heat, the intake manifold has been heat wrapped, got an ashley catback, zetec-s cams, home made engine and battery earth wires, modified EGR (apparently the older setups with the EGR dont have as much emissions crap programmed into the ECU). got gaz coilovers and clear tail lights on the way, partially smoothed boot (gonna finish it soon), removed rub strips, tinted headlights, clear indicators, colour coded mirrors and boot handle, un-vented laguna splitter, plan to do a one off bumper, make a watts link and build the 1.25 to the teeth.

engine wise in the not too distant future im planning to have a zetec-s intake manifold and modified zetec-s tb, bigger injectors and fuel rail (1.4/1.6 maybe), higher flowing pump, adjustable fpr, etc, etc..

basically the idea is to do something really different even if its a bit crazy

Hello those cars are a bargain nowadays, a bloke i work with just picked one up for Ł300, all it needed was a new head gasket. Different ideas are always good!

 

theyre off it now.. kept getting stone chips in the paint causing little silver dots all over the place. still got them but im thinking ill sell or use them for trackday tyres

the overall plan for the car is to improve everything and make it quicker but i also want to keep the nose as light as possibly (hence keeping the 1.25.. for now anyway). want to make a damn good all rounder, especially corners.

and as for the slushbox.. im proving a point. once ive got some more stuff done i might think about sending a letter to top gear telling them ive got an auto fiesta that can lap their track faster than atleast half the "manly" cars on their big list
