SO suprised that people who put their cars in the Coys auction didn't get them atleast valeted well or detailed, that black 3 door ( or 500 ) looked dog rough under the lights as did many of the cars.

Possibly, was the only black one in the auction, swirls all over it !

I have worked for Nissan at the Motor Show and know how good they need to be to look good under those lights, surely though asking the money some people were I expected them to look far better.

its because that rs500 is my old one and is not the nicest example at all.fact its cat d,been re-shelled amongst other body repairs really doesnt help its body condition.its been painted all over-very averagely!
. even got the wrong engine in it-200 block,not the rs500 block although i gave him the block when i sold him the car.
was a very quick car though!!

wonder if it sold........?

 

I think the Moonstone one sold for about 22k, not sure on the black one.

I'd be pissed if I got it and found out it was a write off !

 

according to the owner on the rsoc site they never met there reserve

they cars have been for sale for ages infact years and imo what they made tells him what there ACTUALLY worth . (would sell for)

 

The RS200 sold for over 100k I heard !

 

i sold that rs500 a few years ago for Ł10500 and gave the buyer the original rs500 bottom end as i had fitted an uprated 200 block motor.within 2 weeks or so it was on pistonheads for 17k with no mention of its history.(i disclosed everything about the re-shell/cat d etc when i sold it).also,it seems to have "gained" service history now too!!!
its a funny one as it is an rs500,if its still got its original block with it,so will always be worth something,but it will/should always be bottom end money....whatever that is for one- 12-14k maybe?

no attempt to even clean it as said already

prob 10-12k is where its at , dont think bids were genuine in auction

 

Enoyed the day out a lot (having good company helps definately though, spent as much of the day talking as looking at stands I reckon), will definately be back, missed loads last year cause I was working there and only had limited time to look around.

 

show was alright. bit dissapointed at the live action arena. did the show change daily??? theyve got a massive mud ramp for jumps and stuff and it didnt get used!!
