my rs2000 4x4 was in a mates garage as he let me work on it when i had spare time. however the keys went missing awhile ago and never reappeared!!

anyway, i ended up getting another ecu with and pats sensor, key and ignition barrel, it started once then wouldn't start again!!!

so i now have 2 ecu's which won't start the car

does anybody know how i can get around the pats issue, i've managed to get power to the fuel pumps via the fusebox (terminal 30 & 87) but it supplies constant voltage without cranking and it still won't start so i'm guessing the pats stops something else aswell

any help would be muchly appreciated and pm me if you don't want the info to go public

 

with the new ecu and key fitted can you hear the fuel pump prime?
does it turn over?
