When you lot spray your engine bays, do you remove every trace of rust there is before spraying??

Or do you simply remove the worst and all the bits you can get too, then simply rub down the other areas lightly (like seams) and just spray over with red oxide??

Im paranoid about all my hard efforts going to waste within the year because of rust coming through again!!

if you dont want it coming back then you will have to make sure its all cut/grinded out.

dont think your being fussy at all tbh. pointless job if you dont do it properly, unless it just a tidy up for a track car/to sell etc
