Brakes are something not to buy cheap mate... I assume you've got a low budget so buy the best standard solid (no drilled/grooved) discs you can at the moment and save up for something more fancy in the future mate.

I've never bought Cossie parts before mate, so not sure if there are any special stockists that could help?? I've bought from Godspeed and AS Performance before... both have been great prices and top service, however, that was for uprated bits.

If you stick up your budget then people might be able to give a better idea mate??

Cheers,
Grant

Just go to local unipart ,get some standard unipart discs
Should be a good price and fine unless your running big power? Track days etc
Other wise costs spiral ,ferodo pads etc etc
Depends on your budget?

I use "el cheapo" discs about £35-£40 a pair from the local factors, then just spend a few hours on the pillar drill, been ok for the last 3 years, otherwise spend decent money on some decent pads like ebc redstuff ceramic or yellowstuff with plain discs if you don't have a pillar drill.

what did the advisory say? personally i'd not want to be putting £50 discs on a car with 360bhp as they'll warp in not time at all and probably be more dangerous than what is on there now!

those are what i run on mine and can't fault them at all, you can get them a lot cheaper than that if you shop around, think mine came in around £150 but for the money i honestly don't think i could get better.

I got my front discs from a local motor factors.I think they were about 70 quid last time and the front and rear pads were 15 quid for the fronts and the rears.

They work ok on my car.

I know you're on a budget mate, but I can't see how you could go for a squirt in a 360bhp Cossie and be confident that motor factor brakes are going to hold up to prelonged hard use.

I'm sure they'll be capable of general braking duties though.

What are fitted to the car just now? How old/many miles are on them??

Cheers,
Grant

They are genuine ford discs at the front, about year and half to two year old now. The rears were changed just before I sold it, they are amk discs. The rear calipers were renewed at same time, also from amk (exchange).

Uniparts own discs will be ok ! As will be there pads !
Anything else will cost you alot more ! End of
Dont buy nasty euro car parts cheapest discs ...
They are shite
I just put drilled discs on my evo , front and rear 200 quid ,,,
But good pads were 230 front and 100 rear
So if not fitting ap kit ,, fit above quality !
Wont last forever or do track days!

Scotty, I agree with tabetha on this..just get some discs from the local factors.

You only use it at the weekends and you hardly abuse it!

Worse case you'll probs warp them and have to change them again
