My Xbox 360 has gone on the blink (not reading any discs) and been quoted 70 quid plus taxes plus shipping to get it repaired through Microsoft so thinking im maybe just as well to buy a new one.

WHere is the cheapest place to get the basic console from these days ?? Not really interested in a package deal as i have all the games i like and dont need any extra controllers or hard drive's etc !!

Most places do the standard 4gb console for Ł140. Try Game, Game Station, Blockbuster, Tesco, Sainsburys and asda.

 

blockbuster are cheapest at the moment 4gb Ł139.
Also you can use your old hdd with it. Theres videos on youtube on how to do this if you wanted.

Took it to bits and found a small part of a barcode sticker covering a section of the laser !!

Removed the sticker, gave the laser a wipe and put it back together and is working perfect again now !! Result !

any idea where the sticker came from ?
