Dave's ban - part deux!
Just read in the Policy room that Dave's banned for life again, and all threads about it get locked pretty sharpish! So I'm starting a new one...
By all accounts the mods had a vote to bring him back off his original life ban on the condition he was a good boy, and subsequently had a vote to ban him for life again when he wasn't.
A life ban... For what?? Banter FFS! I've been on the recieving end of his 'wit' and I was never once offended! Same as I get grief off Limpjock and cock loving Grant! It's banter you get day in day out whether it be on here, at work, or with your mates!
I think a weeks ban would've sufficed, and probs not even that much! How come a mostly unelected minority of mods decide on what's best for the majority of forum users? It's supposed to be a community but the community don't get a say!! If the majority on here want him back will he be allowed, or is it up to the MINORITY?
If the current mods can't cope can we elect new ones? Or is this not a democracy?

I've not renewed my gold membership this time due to the tags not being replaced and no need at present to selll a car lol
The majority asked for tags but they wernt kept, so I'd imagine if the mojority ask for Daves return it wont be heard.

whats teh worst thing you can possibly do on a net forum
i say stealing in which case instant and life time ban
pissing about is bull shit and doesnt require hysteria from those with their finger on the button
max 1 week ban and then sooner or later the pisstaking will go to reasonable levels or stop altogether (and only in extreme cases of dickhead syndrome)
eveybody knows banned people get new names if they want to be on here, if they dont care (like the roids guy i guess tho that was life bannable too gyg) then just done one but not for the benefit of the forum

If you come on here and rip members off then fair enough, you deserve to be banned for life. But a bit of banter doesn't!

Remember a local footballer getting a life ban for chinning a ref, after 5 years & many appeals it was lifted & he return to the village team, in his 3rd game back guess what he chinned another ref . Afraid Dave is a bit like that he will never learn. Although their are people commenting on this thread that think that their are no limits or boundaries in life, most sensible people except the boundaries on this Forum & we have moderators to enforce them.

Remember a local footballer getting a life ban for chinning a ref, after 5 years & many appeals it was lifted & he return to the village team, in his 3rd game back guess what he chinned another ref .
