Default SOLD!! Fully rebuilt EFI RST engine!

This engine was destined for my girlfriends Ka turbo project but a change of job has meant she now has less money and cannot continue the build

It's a 50k NA block with the oil return machined, so has not seen any of the temps or abuse a normal RST block would, and of course this has been checked meassured and honed.
RST Mahle pistons with brand new Mahle rings on stock rods.
ARP bolts of course.
Ford headgasket and stretch bolts as we know these are good for 350bhp+
Heavy duty ACL bearings/shells throughout.
50k Crank meassured and polished.
Stock EFI head with new stem seals, dizzy blanking plug, cam seal, re-faced, valves re-lapped and fitted with a good used stock cam and lifters so no chance of failure sending metal round your new engine!
Genuine Ford oil pump!
Matt Lewis water pump.

Obviously all gaskets and seals are brand new, it has been built to the highest standard just like my own engine with everything torqued correctly, lubed and bolts locktighted where needed (sump for example).

This engine is good for 240bhp!
Stock rods will take it so long as you dont raise your rev limiter or sit at 6k+ for hours! Take Jimmy Gibbs engine as a good example of this.

This is very important! It has not been run yet!
So Whoever buys it must run it in for the first 1000 miles on good running in oil like Millers, then change for a new filter and oil something like Silkolene Pro S 10/50.

Oh and the cam belt pictured is not new and will need replacing, I fitted it to ensure there is no way of the cam or crank being rotated and pistons hitting valves until I fitted a new one, which of course I'm not doing now.
There is a dent in the corner of the sump, doesnt effect anything but thought i'd mention it, the sump itself is only a few months old but it was on my old engine and gained a dent when taking it out.

The price of the engine is simply the sum of all the parts and machining that I paid so your getting it built for free!

Block & Crank £90
EFI Head £30
Bearings and Rings £160
Gaskets, ARP's, Water Pump £140
Machining £150

Total £570

I will consider putting it on a pallet but would rather it collected.

Thanks,
Karl

well I'm presuming its the little ends, sounds cammy, brand new cam and lifters, when I killed the headgasket there was no wear on new cam. It gets quiet when properly warm, a lad near me who breaks a lot of turbo's etc reckons its common

Karlos, a customer of mine asked me to have a look at this for them.

I have a question. The pistons are re-used items? With new rings is that correct. If so what was the pistons from? and any small end knock?

He would rather the engine in your cab

lol I'm sure he would mate, good for 300bhp+
Yes used stock RST pistons from (IIRC) a 70k engine with new Mahle rings, no little end knock or movement at all.

Cheers.

Sounds like it could be piston slap to me, that is very common, but you'll never know until it's stripped down and everything checked really..... but whatever it is it's not good! lol
