where are the glow plugs on 18tcdi

Default where are the glow plugs on 18tcdi

hi all
got 02 reg 18 diesal, need to change the glow plugs, got the ford TIS cd and for glowplugs it say refer to WDS (what the heck is that ?)

anyway at work going home early to try to change the glow plugs but where are they on the engine

there on the front of the engine easier take the intercooler off to gain access. tip tighten the glow plugs up before trying to undo them mate

thanks
changed 2 plugs, now need to get a long thin socket to fit the middle glow plug
i'll leave the one at the end

Try testing the plug 1st to see if it needs changing, make sure all power leads are disconnected off the plug, with plug still in the head.... get some elec wire, enough to reach from the positive terminal of the battery, and just gently touch the tip of the glow plug, if there is a little spark of any sort, that plug is fine

thanks for that tip,
as i said i've changed 2 plugs
put on a new battery, and it starts, not easily, but it starts

Never seen the glow plugs faulty on one of these yet, you sure they are faulty ???

More than likely its an injector related problem.
