I'm looking to have a small amount of aluminium welding carried out on an inlet manifold I'm modifying.

Basically, the plenum and tubing on the top will be cut up to allow them to be welded together replicating the way it already looks, with the difference being the inlet to the plenum will then be larger than it currently is.



All the cutting will already be done, it will be purely welding that will be required.

Can anyone recommend anywhere to take it in the North East area?

Try hedley engineering next to rekendyke ind estate..or there is a place in boldon that have done some ally welding on a bmw chassis for me before

there is a place behind the renault dealers on wessington way..just a little unit..3 down from the pizza shop on the end..i had him do a little bit for me on a header tank. really good quality, nice and neat and no manky welding crap..only charged me a tenner aswell. i'll try and find the name

Spoke to these guys today, but unfortunately their welders were all busy working on ships, not sure when they're going to be available.

But this is just one piece of welding, I have a few others lined up, eg turbo compressor outlet pipework, intercooler and radiator so I would like to find somewhere local that I can go back to again with more work in the future.
