Thanks guys, yes it is a sad affair. I will try and post pictures. The car had a dent on the drivers door and some fibreglass repair the to bottom of the drivers windscreen pillar.
It was taken from Jubilee Garage in Bolton le Sands, LA58DH 2.30am Friday 11/10/10, hotwired and driven off the forecourt. Sadly a neighbour saw this happen and didnt think to ring the police !!! Great eh !!
It probably has been ringed or stripped but you never know !

 

sounds like someone just wanted a free ride home to me. absolutely no disrespect meant by this, but its not really the sort of car that would be high on the "steal and strip for bits list" surely???

As above, I'm sure its been dumped in a ditch and set fire to, after having just been used for a fun joyride. No offense, but it is only an XR3i and whilst it may be sentimentally valuable to you, on paper it can't be worth more than a grand, can it? Therefore of no interest to anyone in terms of stripping.

 

could just be some crackheads wanted a ride home - i had a proper shit box of a mk3 fiesta that got nicked in Ealing on enight whilst visiting my cousin.

Walked out at 2am to find the car gone and i really coulod not believe someone would nick it. Found it a couple of weeks later and literally a few roads away from where it got nicked.

Still had my stereo face under the seat but they took my cds

luckily i still had a few hundred quids worth of cossie parts in the boot too

 

Bastards, hopefully it will have just been dumped somewhere and not stripped or torched!!

My old man had a cortin taken off the drive at 5.30pm (gravel swing in drive!!) whilst he sat watching the tv and never heard a thing.

Turned up at 8pm parked across someones drive 2 miles away, someone had used it to get home as it was raining!

You have all the members that lobbied for Daves lifetime ban to be overturned to thank for the torrent of insults and abuse! Although being honest without sugar coating the words above was hardly being abusive or insulting, unkind maybe?

The mk4 XR3is are few and far between now, ok so they aren't exactly worth a huge deal or particularly prestigeous, but it's not nice when something you have looked after etc is pinched by some theiving little scrotes, I wouldn't like it, hopefully it will be found simply dumped when they've tired of it, realistically I doubt it though.

visit the scrap metel yards around your area the local toerags round here are stealing cars and taking them straight there just check the dodgy ones as good scrap yards ask for the log book

 

dont see the need for the comments up above, doesnt matter whats been stolen its the principle of it.

I agree that there is not a lot of worth in a mk4 XR3i the now so cant see it being targeted to steal and strip it, prob some little c*nt that knows they are easy to pinch.

i did not mean it that way what i am saying is the local scum round this area are going out at night stealing 2 or 3 older cars waiting until the morning and weighting them in making £500 to £600 a day i was not trying to say the car is scrap but the scum dont hold on to them to strip them they simply weight them in
